Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms had some issues like bed bugs, but after being relocated, they were adequate for a family passing through. The size was small considering the price, especially compared to cheaper nightly rates. The service had its ups and downs, with some staff members being rude during the breakfast bar running or checking in/out process. The location was convenient for my trip East, close to various destinations, and surprisingly quiet despite facing the indoor pool area with an 'industrial' feel. The dining experience had its highlights with fresh pancakes made upon request, but there were some setbacks like limited options. Overall, the hotel had its positive and negative aspects that shaped my stay.
I absolutely loved the hotel's location in New Orleans on Canal with bigger rooms at cheaper nightly rates, close to everything we wanted to do. However, the property is now quite run down despite the appealing online pictures, just needing a bit better lighting and a desk.
Upon entering the hotel, there was a noticeable strong smell of smoke, which was quite unpleasant. However, the service was exceptional, with requests promptly attended to. The location, while convenient, had a slightly industrial feel. The dining experience was delightful, with a beautiful setting and friendly staff. Overall, a mixed experience with some notable positives and negatives.
